All carriers are required to have a safety plan and scheduled vehicle maintenance plan. A good plan will assist in you meeting your obligations with National Safety Code requirements. As a carrier, you are responsible for all the vehicles that operate under your National Safety Code Safety Certificate and all drivers who drive the vehicles.

The National Safety Code Safety Plan Guidelines is a tool to assist you in the development of your safety plans or a self check that your existing plans meet NSC requirements.
