********************************************** Pursuant to Section 66 of the Transportation Act, notice is hereby given that load restrictions may be placed, on short notice in the near future, on all Highways in the following Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure Service Area: UPCOMING LOAD RESTRICTIONS within the Okanagan-Shuswap, Service Area 13
(Vernon, Lumby, Cherryville, Enderby, Sicamous, Salmon Arm, Falkland, Chase, Celista)
********************************************************************************************** Advance Notice that LOAD RESTRICTIONS could be in effect as early as Monday January 16, 2023. **********************************************************************************************
Restrictions will be imposed on select roads, as conditions warrant. The restrictions may limit vehicles to 100 percent, 70 percent or 50 percent of legal axle loading, as allowed under the regulations pursuant to the Commercial Transport Act. The applicable tolerances provided under 7.06(1) of the regulations pursuant to the Commercial Transport Act shall apply. Violators of the regulations and restrictions will be prosecuted.
