Pursuant to Section 66 of the Transportation Act, notice is hereby given that load restrictions may be placed, on short notice in the near future, on all Highways in the following Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure Service Area:

UPCOMING LOAD RESTRICTIONS within the South Okanagan Service Area - 8
(Osoyoos, Oliver, Keremeos, Princeton, Penticton, Summerland, Peachland, West Kelowna, Kelowna, Lake Country)

Provincial Numbered Routes - UNRESTRICTED
No. 97 Highway - From Canada US Border to Crystal Waters Road North (Lake Country)
No. 97C Highway - From Okanagan Hwy 97 (Peachland) to Pennask Summit (District Boundary)

Provincial Numbered Routes - 100% Legal Axle Loading
No. 3 Highway - From Sunday Summit to Anarchist Summit
No. 3A Highway - From Keremeos to Kaleden
No. 5A Highway - From Princeton to Gulliford Lake (District Boundary)
No. 33 Highway - From Okanagan Hwy 97 (Kelowna) to McCulloch Road (District Boundary)

Provincial Side Roads - 100% Legal Axle Loading

Kelowna/West Kelowna area - All side roads except those listed at 70%

Oliver/Osoyoos area - All side roads

Princeton/Keremeos area - All side roads except those listed at 70%.

Penticton/Summerland area - All side roads except those listed at 70%.

70% Legal Axle Loading - PENTICTON/SUMMERLAND AREA:
Apex Mountain Road

70% Legal Axle Loading - PRINCETON/KEREMEOS AREA:

All overload permits on restricted routes are invalid for the duration of these restrictions.
The applicable tolerances provided under 7.06(1) of the regulations pursuant to the Commercial Transport Act shall apply.
Violators of the regulations and restrictions will be prosecuted.
The public, and trucking and transportation companies should govern themselves accordingly.
