During the environmental review of the Sea-to-Sky Highway Improvement Project, the Ministry of Transportation pledged to compensate for the loss of dry arbutus habitat in teh Horseshoe bay areas as well as any losses of red and blue-listed ecosystems throughout the corridor at a replacement of 1:1.
