The registry gives public access to the following information about British Columbia passenger transportation licence applicants and licensed operators:

Licensee Report

This report gives information on licensees who hold general and/or special authorization(s):

  • Licensee Report (PDF)
    An alphabetical listing of ALL current passenger transportation licensees (updated monthly)

General Authorization

The Registrar of Passenger Transportation (Registrar) makes decisions on all General Authorization (GA) applications:

  • GA Licensee List (PDF)
    A alphabetical listing of all current GA licensees (updated monthly)
  • GA Application Decision List (PDF)
    A list of all GA applications approved to date by the Registrar (updated weekly to include the previous week's decisions)

Special Authorization

The Passenger Transportation Board (Board) makes decisions on all Special Authorization (SA) applications:

  • Industry Info (Operators)
    This Board web page gives access to their recent listings of all SA Licensees (i.e. taxi, limousine, shuttle & other passenger directed vehicle, inter-city bus)
  • Weekly Bulletin
    This Board web page contains a summary of SA new applications and application decisions (published weekly).

Note: These lists are provided for informational purposes. They are updated periodically and may be incomplete or out of date at any particular time. The status of a passenger transportation licence is subject to change without notice. If there are any discrepancies in the posted lists, the findings and decisions on the Passenger Transportation Branch application file will prevail.

Personal information is collected under the authority of, and used for the purpose of, administering and enforcing the Passenger Transportation Act and Passenger Transportation Regulation.

The information collected may be disclosed to other public bodies or individuals as authorized by the Passenger Transportation Act, Passenger Transportation Regulation and/or the provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and the Personal Information Protection Act.  The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and the Personal Information Protection Act can be viewed on the Office of the Chief Information Officer’s website at http://www.cio.gov.bc.ca/cio/priv_leg/index.page.
