Introduction
Individuals and companies that operate commercial passenger
vehicles in British Columbia require a Passenger Transportation
Licence. The Passenger Transportation Act defines what
constitutes a commercial passenger vehicle and what specific
Passenger Transportation Licence is required based on
the type of vehicle and service being operated.
This tutorial provides a brief overview of the commercial
passenger vehicles licensing system to assist in the process
of applying for a passenger transportation licence.
Any person or company applying for a new
Passenger Transportation Licence is invited to use the
Passenger Transportation Online Licence Application.
Applying on-line will:
- provide information needed to apply for a Passenger
Transportation licence,
- assist in determining which Passenger Transportation
Licence(s) to apply for,
- help you complete the application correctly, and
- reduce the time needed to process your application.
If you would like to make alterations to an existing
passenger transportation licence, please continue to use
the current paper forms until further notice.
