Additional Information Requirements for Applicants located outside of British Columbia


What if the applicant is located outside of British Columbia?

If your business or organization is located outside of British Columbia, in addition to the information required during the online licence application, you will need to supply the following:

  • Copies of the following identification documents must be included with the supporting documentation for your application:
    • A legible photocopy of your current driver's licence, if you are applying as an individual.
    • A legible photocopy of all the partners' current driver's licence(s), if 2 or more individuals are requesting an application as a partnership.
    • If the organization requesting the application is a corporation, limited liability company or society, the supporting documentation must include:
      • A photocopy of the company's Certificate of Incorporation issued by the home jurisdiction, and a list of directors and officers (e.g. Articles of Incorporation); AND
      • A photocopy of the British Columbia Certificate of Incorporation (registration as an extra-provincial company), OR
      • A signed letter declaring your company is exempt from being a British Columbia registered Company, under the Business Corporations Act, SBC2002 Chapter 57--Part 11, Section 375 (to find out how to register your Company in British Columbia, or to determine if your company is exempt from registering in British Columbia, please visit the British Columbia Corporate Registry listed in the related links section)
  • A photocopy of the extra-provincial or inter-state operating authority, issued by your home jurisdiction, indicating that you are authorized by your home jurisdiction to operate as a commercial passenger carrier beyond the boundaries of your home province or state.
