Province of British Columbia MINISTRY OF TRANSPORTATION AND TRANSIT BULKLEY STIKINE DISTRICT LOAD RESTRICTIONS IN THE BULKLEY NASS SERVICE AREA 25 (2026 #3) Pursuant to Section 66 of the Transportation Act the following load restrictions will be imposed on the following Provincial Highways and Roads in the Bulkley Nass Service area until further notice: ******************************************************************************************************* Effective 11:00 AM PST on Monday February 16th, 2026 ****************************************************************************************************** The following Provincial Numbered Routes are 100% Legal Axle Loading 24 hrs/day: -Highway 16 -Highway 37A -Highway 37 (Kitwanga Jct to Meziadin Jct) -Highway 37 (Meziadin Jct to the Deltaic Creek) The following Side Roads are 100% Legal Axle Loading 24 hrs/day: -Kitwanga North Road -Mill & Barcalow Roads -New Hazelton High Level Road -Babine Lake Road #491 -Coalmine Road (Hwy 16 to SPRUCE Road only) -Donaldson Road (to transfer station) -Old Babine Road (Hwy 16 to Telkwa High Road) -Tatlow Road (paved portion only) -Telkwa High Road (Hwy 16 in Witset to Blunt FSR only) -Hudson Bay Mountain Road -Lake Kathlyn Road -Viewmount Road North -Viewmount Road South -Kroeker Road -Horlings Road The following Side Roads are 50% legal axle loading 24 hrs/day: -6 Mile Road (2 Mile-Hazelton) from 4.2km to 8.7km --Old Babine Road (Telkwa High Rd to Rabbit FSR) The following Side Roads are 70% legal axle loading 24 hrs/day: -Skeena Pit Road The following Side Roads are 70% Legal Axle Loading from 11am to 11pm and 100% Legal Axle Loading from 11pm to 11am (night hauling*): -All other side roads no listed above Ministry Contact: Janelle McKenzie, Operations Technician 250-847-7403 Issued by: Jim DAndrea, Operations Manager, Transportation, Bulkley-Stikine District All overload permits on restricted routes are invalid for the duration of these restrictions.
