Engineering
The
Ministry of Transportation's engineers meet new technical
challenges every day – from planning multi-year
projects to rehabilitation and maintenance to traffic
planning to seismic retrofitting -- in a constant drive
for quality, efficiency, and customer service.
As
a professional engineer with the Ministry you can expect
to be involved in setting policies, guidelines and standards
that directly affect the highway infrastructure in British
Columbia. You will lend your technical expertise and experience
to projects, ensuring the end product meets or exceeds
the ministry's standards and expectations.
The
Ministry of Transportation offers a wide variety of opportunities
to bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D.-level engineers in
the following fields:

Our
Engineer-in-Training
Program provides an early-career opportunity to experience
the diversity of the Ministry of Transportation through
a series of rotational developmental assignments working
under the mentorship of Professional Engineers and designed
to give you the experience you need to attain your Professional
Engineering designation.
