Taxi Bill of Rights
The Taxi Bill of Rights promotes a consistent and high level of taxi service in Metro Vancouver. It was established in January 2008 by Honourable Kevin Falcon, Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure. Passengers and drivers can see more information, including options for making complaints, at www.taxirights.gov.bc.ca.
The Board supported this initiative and exercised its powers under the Passenger Transportation Act to establish a requirement that taxi operators in Metro Vancouver display the Taxi Bill of Rights decal in the rear window of each taxicab.
