MP Cathy McLeod, Mayor Bob Smith and Minister Shirley Bond unveiling the Sewer Lift Enhancements in Valemount
October 14, 2009 – VALEMOUNT - Minister Shirley Bond, Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo MP Cathy McLeod and Village of Valemount Mayor Bob Smith officially unveiled the $165,000 upgrade to the local sewage lift station on Wednesday, October 14, 2009.
"Through the Infrastructure Stimulus Fund, we were able to support one of Valemount's priority projects," said Minister Bond. "This joint investment will help improve the reliability and safety of Valemount's sewage infrastructure, a benefit to everyone in the community."
"As well, through Canada's Economic Action Plan, we are moving in record time and partnering with other levels of government to ensure there are vital improvements made to communities," said Cathy McLeod.
