MINISTER BOND OPENS THE NEW CAMERON STREET BRIDGE
August 24, 2009 – Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Shirley Bond, Dan Rogers, Mayor of Prince George and Jay Hill, Leader of the Government in the House of Commons and MP for Prince George-Peace River, cut a blue ribbon to commemorate the official opening of the new Cameron Street Bridge, in Prince George. The new two-lane bridge features a cycling/walking lane and replaces the single-lane, wood-truss bridge, which the city used from 1931 to 2005.
