Park Bridge Opening Ceremonies
August 30 - The new Park Bridge along the Trans Canada Highway in Kicking Horse Canyon was officially opened August 30th. The bridge is a 405-metre span with five piers reaching as high as 90 metres. The historic section of highway is now safer and allows traffic to flow more smoothly. Unveiling the plaque are Trans-Park Highway Group president John McArthur, Transportation Minister Kevin Falcon, MP Jim Abbott, project worker Bruce "Klinger" Milum, and Premier Gordon Campbell. |
