Coquihalla Highway System Complete
July 24 – Transportation Minister Kevin Falcon tightens the bolts on a directional sign at the intersection of the Okanagan Connector (Highway 97C) and Kane Valley Road, outside of Merritt, on July 24. Installation of the sign put the final touches to an $18-million project that increased from two to four lanes a nine kilometre stretch of the Connector. The Coquihalla Highway System is now at least four lanes over its entire 300-kilometre route and is considered officially complete.
