Boundary Adjustment Application
Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is negotiating with Boston Bar First Nation for a federal transfer of land from the First Nation's Kopchitchin Indian reserve No. 2.
The ministry is applying to BC Parks to adjust the boundary of Nahatlatch Provincial Park. The proposed area is approximately 1.5ha, and is made up of two unsurveyed tracts of land, one on each side of the Nahatlatch Lake subdivision on Hannah Lake. It is intended that the land will be offered to Boston Bar First Nation as part of a land exchange.
On Friday, July 11, 2014, the ministry hosted an open house at Anderson Creek Campground, Boston Bar, regarding the proposed boundary adjustment to Nahatlatch Provincial Park. The ministry invited comments and feedback on the application during the public comment period, which ran from July 10 to August 29, 2014. The comment period is now closed. Comments and feedback received by the deadline will be considered and incorporated into the final Stage 2 boundary adjustment application.
