Canyon Drive – Junction of Highway 29N in Hudson’s Hope to the WAC Bennett Dam – Hot In Place Recycling

ARC Asphalt Recycling Inc. was awarded a contract valued at $2,034,300.00 for Hot in Place Recycling for 19kms on Canyon Drive from the Junction of Highway 29N in Hudson’s Hope to the WAC Bennett Dam.

The project is expected to start September 5, 2011 and end October 3, 2011.

Hwy 97  – Braden Road, 212, 214 & 216 Roads and Barringham Bridge – Prep Work and Improvements

Brocor Construction Ltd. was awarded a contract valued at $8,546,760.02 for widening, strengthening, and placing double-pass sealcoat, in preparation for future year's paving; for lighting improvements at intersection of John Hart Highway 97 and Braden Road; for intersection improvements at the 212, 214 & 216 Roads and drainage improvements to Barringham Bridge approaches.

The project is expected to start July 11, 2011 and end August 15 2012.

86th Street  – Urban Upgrade

Interoute Construction Ltd. was awarded a contract valued at $2,125,191.10 for the upgrade of a rural road to urban standard; Road re-construction includes asphalt surfacing, utility relocations, curb and gutters, storm sewer systems, lighting and enhanced pedestrian access provisions.

The project is expected to start August 2, 2011 and end September 15, 2011.

Hwy 77 – Liard Km 83-137 – Pave Over Sealcoat

Peter’s Bros. Construction Ltd. was awarded a contract valued at $8,911,212.00 to pave (level course and overlay) over the existing sealcoat from the end of the existing pavement at km 83 to the Northwest Territories border at km 137.

The project is expected to start August 15, 2011 and end July 30, 2012.
