SEA-TO-SKY CORRIDOR IMPROVEMENTS
Public Consultation
The Ministry of Transportation
is planning long-awaited safety and reliability improvements to the Sea-to-Sky Highway.
Future transportation supply and demand has been carefully studied, and local governments
and key stakeholders consulted, with the goal of building toward a viable, long-term
transportation solution for this corridor. The Ministry has applied technical
studies, engineering guidelines, and considerable public input in the development of a
conceptual-level improvement proposal, which was shared for further feeback at public open
houses in West Vancouver, Lions Bay, Squamish and Whistler.
You can view the proposal shared at these
open houses in a PowerPoint
Presentation (pdf 1221 kb).
The Ministry received hundreds of
helpful responses to the above fall 2002 open house presentations. This feedback is being
used in the ministry's preliminary design process through spring 2003.
Thank you for your interest in this
important transportation corridor.
