A key goal of the Pitt River Bridge and Mary Hill Interchange Project is to manage traffic flow during construction to maximize predictability and minimize disruption for the travelling public, goods movers, residents, and marine users
Marine Updates
For marine traffic, the swing bridges may open between 8:45 am to 2:45 pm and 6:45 pm to 5:00 am. The standard Ministry of Transportation procedure will remain in place. Further information for marine users is available on the Council of Marine Carriers website at www.comc.cc
Traffic Updates
All lanes will be open between 5 am and 8 pm.
Between 8 pm and 5 am seven days a week, ten minute stoppages of traffic and/ or one lane closures in one or both directions could occur.
The current counterflow system will remain active until the completion of the project.
Reminder: standard width (3.3m) and length (24.3m) restrictions apply during all counterflow operations.
Weekly Schedule
Weekly traffic updates will be provided once construction begins and we will outline planned lane closures, detours and expected delays if any.
