Community Liaison
The opening of the Evergreen Line Project Office in Coquitlam, B.C. in February, 2009 signified the beginning of the Community Liaison Program. The Evergreen Line’s Community Liaison Program is designed to provide corridor residents, adjacent businesses and other stakeholders with regular Project information, respond to enquiries and, as the project moves forwards, monitor construction-related activities and address issues during construction.
As part of the Program, the Evergreen Line will provide project information and updates to corridor residents and stakeholders, contact individual businesses, business associations and neighbourhood groups along the corridor, and develop a list of individuals and groups who would like to receive regular updates.

Business Liaison
A Business Liaison Program has been established to provide two-way communication between the Evergreen Project Team and businesses located along the Evergreen Line in Burnaby/Burquitlam, Coquitlam and Port Moody to help minimize construction-related impacts to businesses as much as possible. Business Liaison Committees have been set up in each area to:
- Facilitate regular, two-way communication with businesses and business associations to discuss Project issues and to help minimize construction-related impacts to businesses
- Provide a forum for the Evergreen Line Project to present information and discuss approaches for addressing business concerns regarding construction and traffic plans
- Provide a conduit for businesses adjacent to construction to raise concerns and provide advice on strategies to address project issues, consultation topics and notification strategies
- Provide recommendations and feedback to the Evergreen Line Project regarding business interests
