Registration To be eligible for RISP contracts, technical and professional consulting firms must first be registered with the RISP program. To register, each consultant office uses the eRISP online consultant registry to enter details about its office and employees, detailing the work categories each employee wishes to be considered for, and their experience in carrying out such work. Ministry adjudicators will then approve or decline an application for registration, based on criteria provided in the document, "RISP Adjudication Criteria". If approved, the company data is entered into the RISP database. Identification and Selection When there is a contract to be awarded, consultants are selected from the database by the following criteria:
The firm or firms thus selected are then invited to submit proposals to carry out the contract. For a province-wide selection, the main office of a consulting The contracting firm is also required to carry appropriate insurance. RISP selections are posted on this website for publice review. Performance Evaluation Once a project is completed, RISP data on a consulting company is updated with a performance evaluation. The consultant appoints a representative to this process. Final mediator in any dispute over a performance evaluation is the Ministry’s chief engineer, and the content of all performance evaluation forms is treated as confidential.
