Clanwilliam Bridge Replacement

Four laning approximately 2.3 km of Highway 1 to 100km/h design standards including flush medians, wider shoulders and rumble strips. Works will require replacing the existing aging overhead, with a new 4 lane crossing the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) mainline

Donald Bridge

The upgrading of 3.5 km of the Trans Canada Highway Corridor at Donald approximately 25 km west of Golden. These improvements will upgrade the current two-lane configuration to a four-lane, 100 km/h design standard including a new four lane structure crossing the Columbia River and a new four lane structure over the CPR mainline. As well the construction will provide access and intersection improvements. These improvements will address safety issues as well as provide increased highway capacity and mobility for the Revelstoke to Golden segment of the Trans Canada Highway.

Monte Creek to Pritchard

Construct 10.5km of 4-laning to a 100km/hr corridor standard, with a 2.6m median and 2.5m shoulders. Access management improvements involve turn-slots, deceleration lanes, and frontage roads with consolidation of other roads and accesses. A grade separated interchange is planned at Pritchard. The project will be constructed in 2 phases with the first 3.2km package commencing approximately 30km east of Kamloops, from the Monte Creek Interchange.

Historic Kinsol Trestle Rehabilitation Project

The Kinsol Rehabilitation Project will give new life to the historic Kinsol Trestle, Canada’s tallest wooden rail trestle, completing a key part of the Trans Canada Trail on Southern Vancouver Island. The rehabilitation will include the replacement of unsound timbers, minor refurbishment of a Howe Truss substructure and rebuilding of 17 structural piers to support a new 614-foot walkway atop the structure for hikers, runners, cyclists and equestrians. The Cowichan Valley Regional District is undertaking the project with joint Provincial and Federal funding.

Gateway Program – Port Mann / Highway 1 Project

The Port Mann Highway 1 project includes widening of the highway, construction of a new Port Mann Bridge, upgrading interchanges and improving access and safety on Highway 1 from the McGill Interchange in Vancouver to 216th Street in Langley, a distance of approximately 37 kilometres.

South Fraser Perimeter Road

Approximately 40km long, South Fraser Perimeter Road (SFPR) is a new four-lane, 80km/hr route along the south side of the Fraser River from Deltaport Way in southwest Delta to 176th Street (Hwy 15) in Surrey, with connections to Highways 1, 17, 91, 99, and TransLink’s Golden Ears Bridge connector road.

Winfield to Oyama - Highway 97 New Realignment

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is upgrading Highway 97 to four lanes between Winfield and Oyama in the District Of Lake Country, B.C. This will remove the last two lane section of Highway 97 between Westbank and Vernon. The new 9 km alignment will be west of the existing highway above Wood Lake.
