Dale Lake Road to Dragon Lake Road

Project Update: October 5, 2009

Project Scope:

  • Re-align 3.2 km of Hwy 97 to a 100 km/h corridor standard
  • Construct to a 4-lane cross-section in concert with the Cariboo Connector 4-Laning Strategy
  • Access management improvements include turn-slots and deceleration lanes at Dale and Dragon roads, and consolidation of other roads and accesses

Benefits:

  • Improved safety and mobility for the travelling public • Improved passing opportunities
  • Access management improvement will reduce accidents

Cost and Funding:

  • The total project cost is $11.985 million
  • The provincial government is investing 8.1 million
  • The federal government is investing $3.9 million under Building Canada Base Funding
