Detailed Design Underway
The Ministry has engaged CH2M Hill Canada to advance the project from Conceptual Design phase to Detailed Design. The design assignment is expected to reach 50% completion in late April, at which time design engineers will meet with Red Rock-area residents to discuss the new facility and supporting highway infrastructure. The Detailed Design is expected to be complete in early 2007.
Public Information Session: December 15, 2005
A new site – Highway 97, 1 km south of Red Rock – was
chosen for the Prince George South Weigh Scale and Associated Four-laning.
The new location emerged as the clear favourite among the public,
and also ranked highest on technical criteria among project engineers.
