Bridge Management Information System (BMIS)
This website is for authorized users who are working for the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure of British Columbia and who need to access BMIS or its modules from outside the ministry environment.
The Bridge Management Information System (BMIS) is a Bridge Management tool used by the Ministry of Transportation of British Columbia to manage an inventory comprising of 4,500 structures throughout the province of British Columbia. BMIS is a web-based application with the database residing on a central application server. It has additional modules for gathering on-site inspection data (BIRDE), locating structures on a map (BIG) and creating user-defined custom ad-hoc reports (Discoverer). BMIS and its modules are used by users in headquarters, regional and district offices and by external users such as road and bridge maintenance contractors, concessionaires and consultants.
