The October 1, 2005 edition of the Standard Specifications for Highway Construction is now available for viewing on this Web Site. Listed below is the Standard Specifications for Highway Construction October 1, 2005 Volume One and Volume Two.
All changes, revisions and additions in this edition have been underlined and a change bar will show in the margins of the section.
New to this edition is the Book Mark Feature which will quickly open any section of the publication.
This October 1, 2005 edition will be used in writing contracts that are advertised after October 2005.
Effective February 1, 2007 Sections 303, 317 and 320 have been amended.
Effective October 22, 2007 Section 145 has been amended.
Effective December 21, 2007 Section 501 is deleted.
Effective January 21, 2008 Section 502 has been amended.
The 2003 edition has been removed and the 2004 edition of the Standard Specification will remain on this site for reference purposes.

- provides expert advise on the use,
application and interpretation of the standard specifications;
and
- performs quality audits on compliance
of the standard specifications.
The Standard Specifications

The right hand column of page one is out of order. The top of the right hand column:
"materials, mix design proportioning, sampling and testing of the materials and concrete, batching, mixing, transporting, placement, finishing and curing. The Contractor shall supply all necessary materials." Along with "Section 211.02 Applicable Standards. The standards listed in Table 211-A shall apply unless specified otherwise herein. All referenced standards shall be to the current editions at time of Award."
should continue with section 211.01 General (left hand column) before Table 211-A Applicable Standards.
The remaining portion of the right column, starting with "submit a report outlining the proposed mix design for each classification of concrete to the Ministry……" returns to continue with 211.03.04 after the text "The Designer shall"..
