Highway 97 HOV Lanes
Opens September 20, 2009
The new curbside HOV lanes run eastbound and westbound along Harvey Avenue from Water Street to Highway 33. A westbound lane has been added to create three lanes in each direction. The diamond symbol 
as well as overhead signage will designate the HOV lanes.

Highway 97 Transportation Improvements
In addition to the new HOV lanes, the following improvements have been made along Highway 97:
- High efficiency illumination to improve visibility while conserving energy
- Complete eastbound and westbound sidewalk network connections to city pedestrian and cycling networks
- Six transit pullouts (three in each direction)
- Traffic signal upgrades to permit more efficient bus service along the urban corridor
- Intersection improvements
- Roadway resurfacing
- Curb and gutter improvements
