The Rural Subdivision Approvals site provides information on subdividing land in unincorporated areas. In municipal areas, please contact the municipal office. If you are considering developing a parcel of crown land Front Counter BC can assist you.

This on-line guide is designed to lead you through the province's rural subdivision approval process.  Everything you need to begin your application is available here, including relevant forms, and frequently asked questions

Subdividing is a complex process involving many overlapping interests; depending on the size and complexity of your project, it can take many months to get from the idea stage to building.  If you are new to subdividing, we strongly suggest that you hire an agent to work with you on your proposal; you may choose a BC Land Surveyor, an engineer, or a development consultant. You can also contact your district Transportation Office for more help.  more>>
